Our Cambridge office was established in 2007 to provide a highly personalised service to high net worth individuals and families, not only in the local area, but also across the East Anglia region. The experienced, highly qualified team are able to provide extensive wealth management, fiduciary, investment, financial planning and credit solutions that are tailor made for high net worth clients.
Mark Sinclair – Rejoined the bank in 2016 and has over 30 years of experience in financial services and private banking, both in the UK and more recently as Head of UK clients for a leading private bank in Monaco. Mark is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and a Chartered Wealth Manager. He has a particular interest and experience in working with clients who are entrepreneurs and who are considering selling their business. He covers Cambridge, Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex areas.
Mark is assisted by Linda Moss and Lewis Cushing, who have over 25 years banking support experience between them.

Established in 2008 as Kleinwort Hambros' first venture in Scotland, the Edinburgh office services clients throughout Scotland, and has grown a reputation as a trusted adviser to individuals, family groups, charities and trusts.
The Edinburgh office is fronted by Chris Thomson, Senior Private Banker; James Burley, Private Banker; Gareth Welshman, Private Banker and Harry Gobourn, Assistant Private Banker.
Chris Thomson joined the bank in 2008. Prior to this, Chris spent twelve years in investment banking split between New York and London before moving back Edinburgh in 2004. He has since been working in private banking where he now helps a number of successful individuals, trusts and charities to fulfil their financial aspirations. Chris is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment and holds the highest level of Private Client Investment Advice and Management qualification. in 2014 he attained the Chartered Wealth Manager designation.
James Burley began his career in finance after graduating from Edinburgh University with a degree in Business Studies. He gained private client experience as an analyst before joining SGPB Hambros in 2008, initially based in our London office. James is a member of the CISI and holds the highest level of Private Client Investment Advice and management qualification. In 2014 he attained the Chartered Wealth Manager designation and joined the Chartered Insurance Institute. James has a particular interest in corporate finance and has experience in advising clients shortly before or after a business sale.
Gareth Welshman joined the team in 2015. He started his financial career in 2001 after graduating from Edinburgh University. He held a number of branch management positions before moving into private banking in 2007, becoming an Associate Director in 2008. Over the years, Gareth has assisted clients with complex financial requirements. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. He passed the Private Client Investment Advice and Management qualification in 2014 and attained the Chartered Wealth Manager designation in 2015.
The on-going growth of our Edinburgh office demonstrates our continued dedication to having a greater presence across the UK, whereby clients can benefit from the highest quality at a local level. The team have served the Scottish market for many years, making them ideal to lead the Kleinwort Hambros' expansion in Scotland.

Leeds is the driving force behind Yorkshire and will play a central role in the success of the Northern powerhouse concept over the coming years. The promotion of Leeds as a financial centre, second only to London, boosts the region’s attractiveness to start up companies and new businesses, making it the natural choice for a regional office for Kleinwort Hambros. With this in mind, in 2008, Kleinwort Hambros opened an office in Yorkshire on the Harewood Estate, between Leeds and Harrogate, and it is now very well established with a highly qualified and experienced team.
Richard Brown, Director, is in charge of the office. Richard joined Kleinwort Hambros in 2015, and has over 30 years’ experience of working in the private banking and wealth management industry, within the Yorkshire region. During the last 30 years Richard has dealt with a variety of high net worth individuals with differing backgrounds, and his client base includes Entrepreneurs, Retired Business Owners, Family Businesses and Landed Estates.
Alan Kinnaird is a Senior Private Banker in the Leeds office and has over 25 years of experience in helping Private Clients, IFA’s, Entrepreneurs, and High Net Worth clients to
manage their Financial plans on a tax efficient basis. He has managed client portfolios and relationships since 1996. Alan lives in Leeds and regularly helps Solicitors and Accountants in the fields of Personal Pension Fund management, Mortgages and Lombard loans. Outside of the office he supports local Homeless Charities as a volunteer and enjoys golf, football and fly-fishing.
The private bankers are assisted by Kate Hoole who joined the team in April 2018 and has over 28 years experience of working in the private banking industry.

Rebecca Constable is a Senior Private Banker. Daniel Way and Jeremy Hill joined in 2014. Advising high net worth individuals and families in the Thames Valley Region, Rebecca has over 20 years experience of working with key clients, and provides a gateway for her clients to gain access to the award winning investment, wealth structuring, and banking /credit expertise of her colleagues in London, from a regional base. She has the advantage of having lived locally for over a decade, and works closely with local advisors, supporting entrepreneurs as well as advising family foundations and educational endowments. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Securities Institute and a member of the Institute of Directors.
Daniel Way has spent 20 years in financial services working in investment banking covering both OTC Derivatives and Securities prior to starting his private banking career. Daniel's focus is on developing the business in the Thames Valley.
Jeremy Hill has also extensive experience in private banking and prior to this he worked on the commercial side of consulting and technology change programmes. Jeremy is equally committed to clients and new business in the Thames Valley and Southern England.
