Meet My Mama: first winner of the Start-up for Good Award

At the Summit of Minds, on 22 September, Societe Generale Private Banking awarded “Meet My Mama” with the “Start-up for Good” prize that highlights start-ups with a substantial financial, social and environmental impact.

The winning French start-up Meet My Mama stands out by its innovative, ethical and profitable business model as a caterer. Founded in 2016, this food tech engages and highlights migrant or refugee homemakers through their culinary know-how. Today, some thirty independent “mamas” work as service providers for the company cooking recipes from their countries for professional events. Meet My Mama gives them the power to assert themselves by training in and professionalising their cooking activity.

Congratulations to Donia Souad Amamra, Loubna Ksibi and Youssef Oudahman, the three friends and founders of Meet My Mama, who have won a tailor-made learning expedition offered by Societe Generale Private Banking to help them accelerate their start-up’s development! They will also benefit from a year of mentoring and coaching by senior business leaders from the Monthly Barometer and OneRagtime network.


During this first edition, 80 start-ups were shortlisted from around the world. They were assessed on their ability to generate revenue via socially and environmentally responsible products or services, the ethical aspect of their practices and the sustainability of their business model and financial results. The 4 finalists were invited to pitch their start-ups to a panel of investors and decision makers during the Summit of Minds in Chamonix.
