Societe Generale Private Banking aims to provide you with the best possible quality of service. However, difficulties may sometimes arise in the operation of your account or in the use of the services made available to you.

Your private banker  is your privileged contact to receive and process your claim.

 If you disagree with or do not get a response from your advisor, you can send your claim to the direction  of Societe Generale Private Banking France by email to the following address: FR-SGPB-Relations-Clients@socgen.com or by mail to:

Societe Generale Private Banking France undertakes to acknowledge receipt of your claim within 10 (ten) working days from the date it is sent and to provide you with a response within 2 (two) months from the same date. If we are unable to meet this 2 (two) month deadline, you will be informed by letter.

In the event of disagreement with the bank  or of a lack of response from us within 2 (two) months of sending your first written claim, or within 15 (fifteen) working days for a claim about a payment service, you may refer the matter free of charge, depending on the nature of your claim, to:  

 

The Consumer Ombudsman at the FBF

The Consumer Ombudsman at the Fédération Bancaire Française (FBF – French Banking Federation) is competent for disputes relating to services provided and contracts concluded in the field of banking operations (e.g. management of deposit accounts, credit operations, payment services etc.), investment services, financial instruments and savings products, as well as the marketing of insurance contracts.

The FBF Ombudsman will reply directly to you within 90 (ninety) days from the date on which she/he receives all the documents on which the request is based. In the event of a complex dispute, this period may be extended. The FBF Ombudsman will formulate a reasoned position and submit it to both parties for approval.

The Ombudsman of the AMF

The Ombudsman of the Autorité des Marchés Financiers (AMF - French Financial Markets Authority) is also competent for disputes relating to investment services, financial instruments and financial savings products.

For this type of dispute, as a consumer customer, you have therefore a choice between the FBF Ombudsman and the AMF Ombudsman. Once you have chosen one of these two ombudsmen, you can no longer refer the same dispute to the other ombudsman.

Bertrand Cozzarolo
Bertrand Cozzarolo

Bertrand Cozzarolo began his career with the General Inspectorate within the French Ministry of Finance before joining Societe Generale in 2004. In 2006, he became Chief Financial Officer of the Group’s Egyptian retail banking subsidiary, and pursued his career in Bulgaria as deputy General Manager of Societe Generale Expressbank (Bulgaria), overseeing the subsidiary’s commercial activities. He returned to France in 2011 as Chief of Staff to Frédéric Oudéa and Séverin Cabannes. In January 2015, he joined Societe Generale Retail Banking in France as co-Director of Strategy, Digital and Client Relationship. In 2018, he became Deputy Head of Clients, Distribution and Marketing, and in 2020 Head of Corporate Department, responsible for overseeing retail banking’s corporate and investment banking activities. He is appointed Head of Sales and Marketing of Societe Generale Retail Banking in France in 2021. Bertrand Cozzarolo is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris and the École Nationale d’Administration in France.

Mathieu Vedrenne is appointed Head of Societe Generale Private Banking France in March 2019. He was previously its Commercial Director, since 2017.
Mathieu Vedrenne began his career in 1998 as a Consultant at PricewaterhouseCoopers before joining Societe Generale’s Inspection Department in 2001. He joined the Group Strategy Division in 2005 and between 2008 and 2011 was Chief of Staff for Frederic Oudéa, in his role as Chairman and CEO of Societe Generale, managing the launch and implementation of the Group’s transformation programme. In 2012, Mathieu Vedrenne was appointed Deputy CEO of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland and Secretary of the Board of Directors, holding the role of Chief Operating Officer. In 2016, he joined Societe Generale Private Banking France as Head of Wealth Management Solutions.

Since September 2019, Olivier Lecler is Head of Private Banking activities Luxembourg.

Olivier Lecler started his career in 1992 at INSEE (French National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies) as editor of the INSEE Bulletin on the macro-economic situation. In 1996, he joined Societe Generale group as Strategic Studies Manager in the Finance and Development Division. In 1999, he was appointed Finance and Development Director of Fimatex, subsidiary which is Boursorama today, of which he became Deputy Managing Director in 2003. Olivier Lecler then joined SGAM group in 2006, firstly as Head of Finance and Operations, then as deputy to the Deputy General Manager, Operations. Until May 2008, he was Chairman & CEO of SGAM Banque, specialised in structuring for alternative investments. In June 2008, Olivier Lecler became Chief Operating Officer of SGAM and CEO of SGAM AI, before being appointed Chief Operating Officer of the Global Investment Management & Services division in 2009. In January 2011, he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Private Banking Monaco, then Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Luxembourg in charge of private banking activities in Luxembourg in January 2013.

He was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland in 2015 and Chief Executive Officer in March 2016.

Olivier Lecler is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and ENSAE (Paris Graduate School of Economics, Statistics and Finance).

Mouhammed (Mo) Choukeir was appointed Chief Executive Officer of SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited in June 2020.  Prior to this Mo was Deputy CEO and Chief Investment Officer.  Mo is also a member of the Société Générale Private Banking Executive Committee and the SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited Board. As CEO, Mo is responsible for overseeing the execution of Kleinwort Hambros’ strategy to grow and transform the business across target markets. He and his talented and diverse team are working to ensure Kleinwort Hambros remains a leading responsible bank for client service and expertise.

Mo joined Kleinwort Benson in 2011 and moved to SG Kleinwort Hambros Bank Limited as part of an acquisition in 2017.  Prior to this, Mo was Head of Multi-Asset Class Investing at Morgan Stanley for Europe, Middle East and Asia. Mo spent his early career in the fixed income division of Citigroup’s Investment Bank in New York, London and Madrid.

Mo has a Master’s Degree in Finance with distinction from London Business School, and a Bachelor’s Degree with first class honours from the University of London, King’s College.

Mo has been a board member and trustee on several charities with particular focus on education (e.g. schools and universities). Mo enjoys sports, including long-distance triathlons and Ironman challenges.

Franck Bonin started his career in 1993 in real estate development. He joined the Strategy and Marketing Direction of Societe Generale group in 1997 as Head of the wealth planning offering dedicated to CEOs. In 2001, he joined the private bank in France as Associate Director of Wealth Planning. He was appointed Head of Customer Management in 2006, in charge of a team of dedicated advisors. In 2010, Franck Bonin became Head of the client segment dedicated to private individuals in French regions.

In 2012, he was appointed Commercial Director of Societe Generale Private Banking France.

In September 2017, Franck Bonin was appointed Commercial Director of Societe Generale Private Banking, in charge of the entity's commercial strategy and the supervision of the sales and marketing teams.

Il became CEO of  Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland in September 2019.

Franck Bonin holds a Master's degree in Finance specialising in international asset management.

Nicolas Feit began his career in 1999 in the retail banking division of the Societe Generale goup.

In January 2004, he joined Societe Generale Private Banking France as Wealth Engineer, then Head of Wealth Engineering and Development in 2010.

In March 2012, he joined Societe Generale Private Banking Monaco, first as Deputy Chief Commercial Officer and then Chief Commercial Officer in charge of private banking and retail banking activities.

In October 2017, he joined Societe Generale Private Banking Switzerland as Head of Sales and Marketing, before being appointed in 2018 as Head of Sales and Marketing for international private banking in the financial centres of Luxembourg, Monaco and Switzerland.

Nicolas Feit holds a Master 2 in financial engineering.

Olivier Paccalin began his career in 1998 at the Head Office of SGPB where he contributed to the creation of the Business Line.

In 2005 he joined SGPB France as Marketing Manager for Portfolio Management Solutions. In 2007 he developed the entity’s Investment Advisory team, becoming head of the team which joined Advisory Managed in 2009. In 2011 he was appointed local head of Investment Solutions (now WMS) with responsibility for financing, life insurance and real estate before being appointed Chief Investment Officer for SGPB France in 2012.

In September 2015, he was appointed Head of Wealth Management Solutions for Societe Generale Private Banking and joined the Executive Committee of the private bank. In summer 2019, he extended his prerogatives by taking over the sales management in addition to investment solutions.

Olivier Paccalin is a graduate of the Paris Dauphine University, member of the SFAF and is a certified by the Certified International Investment Analysts.

For the past two years, she was Head of Marketing and Client Solutions (MCS) at SGBP France. She graduated from the DESS 222 in Asset Management at  Université Paris Dauphine.

Marc Duval has a long career with Societe Generale, where he started at the General Inspectorate. He then joined Sogecap (ASSU) as Commercial Director, then became Chief Executive Officer of La Marocaine Vie and finally Chief Executive Officer of SOGECAP until 2018. Five years ago, he joined the Lyxor Executive Committee to set up the PWI team, dedicated to developing the offer for private and retail clients, before joining SGPB 18 months ago, to lead the management scope within WIS. Marc graduated from Sciences Po Paris and Université Paris Dauphine.

Barbara Quilliec was previously Deputy COO of GLBA since 2021. Barbara joined Societe Generale in 2003 as a consultant within SG consulting, having started her career in external consulting firms. She held different positions within the Group, notably within MARK and GLBA. She spent 6 years in MARK/CTY as Head of business development and Chief of Staff to the Head of the Business Line. She then joined GLBA in 2013 as Head of GLFI/COO/STC in charge of strategic planning and performance monitoring in close coordination with DFIN and changed position in 2015 as Chief of Staff to GLBA/DIR until 2021. Barbara graduated from HEC (Paris).

In 2011, he joins BNP Paribas Group General Inspection and in 2004 is appointed Deputy Head of Financial Security Audit Line. In January 2019, Jean-Rémy joins Société Générale as Head of External Audits Coordination within La Fayette Program.

Pierre-Yves started his career at CACIB in New York City in Risk and Finance roles on market activities. He joined the Societe Generale group in 2004 within Finance Control, becoming Head of Finance Control on Equity perimeter in 2006. In 2009, he joined the newly established Product Control department and participated to the development of the function within SG Group. London-based starting 2011, he creates the MARK Product Control for the UK-based activities, and spreads the coverage to EMEA, excluding France beginning of 2012. Mid 2012, he was appointed worldwide Head of Product Control FICC, first based in England, then in France. Since 2015, he is the CFO of Private Banking in France, keeping that role. Pierre-Yves is an ESSEC alumni.
